A design office staffed by 17 people, designs and develops new machines, which meet the technical and comfort requirements defined by our dealers and the customers who are the end-users of our equipment.
Working in collaboration with its Japanese counterpart in Fukuoka, it also develops all the options needed for European market sales: 4th hydraulic circuit for accessory use, safety devices for lifting operations, etc
The investment made in 2001 in the new plant allows YANMAR to increase the number of machines produced at Saint-Dizier and reduce the number imported from Japan, with the following advantages: - Flexibility and better reactions with respect to the market (shorter delivery times).
- Reduced production costs, therefore better productivity, allowing our dealers and user customers to benefit.
Therefore at the end of 2004, the production of ViO30 and ViO35 machines (3.0 and 3.5 tonnes) was transferred from Japan to Saint-Dizier. The technical office must therefore design a new version of the machine, producing prototypes and preproduction models before mass production can begin. The machines are manufactured using many parts of European origin.
